AOL Sucks!!!

Spent time telling a friend that AOL sucks and since he has cable access instead of dial-up it was time to get rid of all AOL software. Like many people he thinks the only way to access the web and his AOL mail is to use their browser. AOL software is a memory hog, will take over your system by screwing up defaults and it's browser is based on Internet Explorer which sucks too.
Don't know if I convinced him to uninstall, but we shall see.

Slamming Doors

One of my biggest pet peeves is slamming doors.  It just grates on my nerves.  It’s also rude and inconsiderate.

New York - La Daily Musto - Anti-Gay Protesters Were At My Doorstep!

As Musto said. “ What the fuck are we supposed to do with them?”  I can think of many things.  Unfortunately none of them are legal.

Peeve alert!

Insomnia is on my list of things I can't stand. Messes up my sleep pattern for days.

Peeve Alert!

Zip lock bags. I can never get the groves together to close the damn bag.

Clam shell packaging.

One of my biggest pet peeves is plastic clam shell packaging. Anything from an iPod to a stapler can be packaged in these dangerous and difficult to open things. How many people have cut themselves trying to get them open? And how long has it taken to get them open? I'd be curious to know. Thoughts, comments?

WWII vet frozen to death leaves estate to hospital - CNN.com

I'm not sure whether this belongs on my other blog since it is a positive story in regard to the generosity of this man.  And the sacrifice he gave defending us in WWII.

But reading on and finding out how he died really vexed me.

The damn utility company cut off his power for non-payment.

The man was 93 for god's sake!

I really hope criminal charges are brought against the utility company, including the CEO's.
